Save Tube Video

Easily download files from YouTube.

It is highly improbable that you will be able to find a simpler way than Save Tube Video to download videos from YouTube. This program is installed as a toolbar in the Firefox or Internet Explorer browser, and as well as allowing us to search over the net will google, it will show us a button, that if we are watching a video from YouTube, will allow us to download it.

  If we are watching a YouTube video and we click on Save Video, Save Tube Video will ask us for a file name for the resulting file (that will be stored as an FLV file) and a place to save it, after this the video will be downloaded.

  We will be able to find out about the downloads progress by clicking on Show Status, where we will see the downloaded videos, their progression and we will be offered the possibility to open the folder where it is stored or download the file.

  The program is really simple, but it performs its task without any problem. What's more, the toolbar with Google integrated is a good idea, even though we will have to pay attention as it will change our Home Page when it is installed.

  Note: It integrates in Firefox or Internet Explorer, so it is necessary to have at least one of the two browsers installed. It doesn't work with Firefox 4.0 or above.
